Im looking into a new exhaust and ive been doing my reading and have come down to these two. The reason i cant decide is that with some videos and comments ive seen is that the borla is more deeper toned and not as ricer as the techtonics one? i wasnt sure on which one to go for im still looking for a loud sound but i dont wanna be a honda. i know that techtonics uses borla mufflers for there system so was wodnering which one i should go for and any advantages with one over the other hp wise. I have a 1998 a4 1.8T Quattro

 

go with the Borla + a test pipe. I have the same car as you and it sounds very good, but more importantly the quality is top notch. Really I think the Borla is your only real option.
