I recently imported a very low mileage '08 TT from California. I sold a '00 TT bought in Canada and with that purchase paid $0 for servicing in the first 4 years. This was the "service package".
Importing the 08 I took it for its first service and again paid $0. On the second service I was charged $300 and told there was no longer a service package on imported vehicles. Surely if one existed when the vehicle was bought it should transfer with the vehicle. Anyone else have this experience? :

My dealer told me that if I imported a TTS or an A5 (which I was also considering) from the US, that they would not be obliged to honour the service package. Apparently there is little connection between Audi Canada and Audi USA. Which is weird, since I get calls from Illinois asking about Vancouver dealer service quality. And I once spoke to an Audi head office guy about TDI's coming to Canada who was in Detroit, I think.

Good luck with it though, tell us what happens.

What? I know that once you import there are warranty transfer papers and like a $150 charge to process or something along those lines! But for them not to honor the warranty is ridicules because the dealer gets their money regardless!

They will honour the warranty, and yes there is $150 transfer fee. But dealers seem to have the prerogative to not honour the free servicing package. Just what Open Road Audi told me.
