I guess we cant import 2004 or earlier S4 due to safety features? Are there loop holes? Say if a guy from the USA moves to Canada he has to do the mods necessary.

Hmm I was looking for a B5. Looks like I am out of luck.

 

I just checked RIV's website... seems like that has changed, as I don't see them on the inadmissable list...

 

I just brought one in from Miami. The reason it was not allowed was because the oil cooling system was in the way of changing the bumpers so they just made the car inadmissable. The safety policy has now been "harmonized" with Europe and USA. So I now have a car to drive.

 

How about brand new from the States if you live in Canada?
A dealer rejected me from buffalo and I live in Toronto Canada,
he said only used.
I want to buy a B7 S4, might even wait for the 2009 depending on the
motor, too many different stories on what the motor will be.

 

It is very tough unless you are a US citizen. There are some dealers that will sell but the search takes a while
