Hello everyone, I am looking forward to buy a B5 and the owner claims that he has a lot of mods updated with the car such as ECU and exhaust. But I am not really good at telling the difference between a modified and a stock engine engine myself. My friend who owns an B5 told me it's not hard to find by listening to the soundtrack of the engine while driving. im guessing your speaking of a B5 S4. There would be no way to distinguish the difference if you've got nothing to compare it to. You need to drive a stock B5 S4, then drive the one you are looking to buy.

The ECU increases hp, so it would feel a lot faster than stock.
