Audi S4 B5 Tire Help
Hey There I had a question about the tire width for the b5 s4. Stock comes as a 225 width but lately i noticed the last 2 b5's i saw had 235 tires on but one of them was rusting in the wheel arches....possibly from tire rubbing. Does anyone run these tires with no problem
I want to pick up a pair of new pirelli p zeros but don't know what size to get
thanx

Re: Audi S4 B5 Tire Help
I was wondering the same thing about 235's. I'm running on 18" BBS wheels and my last 2 sets have been 225/40/18's. Pilot sport PS2's and BF KDW2's. The pilots had a wider tread section and I don't think 235's would have fit without rolling the fenders. 235's in the KDW's look like they'd fit though. On another note, PS2's kill the KDW's in every aspect possible.

Just to mention if they don't fit, only front fenders would need rolling as rears are factory rolled 180. The rust you saw on other 235 B5's, was it on the fronts?
IMHO Pirelli P Zero's are very expensive for what they are, there are better options in that price range.
235's on a stock 17" rim *should* fit, many have done it with no issue. As mentioned, there is some deviation in overall tire widths between mfgs. Is your car lowered?

Re: Audi S4 B5 Tire Help
yeah im rolling on 225 tires but on bigger 18' oz rims. the rims are wider than the tire some how. whenever i put the rim down the rim hits first so thats why i want wider tires and my car is lowered with eibachs....oh yes and the rust i saw was on the front tire

Re: Audi S4 B5 Tire Help
Different tires are different widths (Toyo's are known to run narrower than say, Good Years in same "235" size). I had rubbing going from one to the other in the same size. Also, you know that offset of the wheel is a factor too right ?
