Spent about an hour searching for this one earlier, maybe somewhere here knows a quick and easy way to check and possibly add, if its low,

I just ordered some rear diff seals for my 97 a4,(current ones are starting to show small signs of leakage) but to be on the safe side as they wont be getting replaced until 2008 as no garage will do it until then, how can I check the oil level myself and possibly add oil? If theres an easy way pls post it up,

Also, which oil is supposed to go in here, I also ordered the bentley manual, wont get here until 2k8 also, and I dont want to possibly scrap my diff before all this stuff gets done, thanks alot for all the help so far, great forum!

need for 1998 A4 Front wheel drive (makes a diff?) the following after having a "discussion" with a hydrant:

left front fender;
left front inner fender (plastic);
Left Headlight with integrated fog light;
left signal light;
front bumper cover;
Hood - grille is not broken so we do not need it.

If all the parts would come in dark blue - would be a real bonus!

Also - looking for winter tires with rims for a 2000 A4 Avant (now on 17" rims).

Does anyone have XM hooked up to thier car? I have the optional (SAT) button on the dash and was wondering how do I go about hooking it up, do I need to go to the dealership to get a serial # or something?

i own a 1996 a4 with the 2.8 v6...... just wondering if the 2.8 v6 from a 2000 a4 would be a direct fit.....
