Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
Yes I have helped a friend do it pretty simple....it is on the pricy side but if you look at something after market it will run you about $300 cheaper then the OEM

Yeah that's true, although aftermarket could have more features i've yet to see one that looks as clean as the OEM.

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
I tried the throttle body alignment and I noticed quite a significant difference when accelerating. Id suggest everyone take 2min to do this. Its great. Thanks 1move!

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
I tried pushing and holding the lock and unlock buttons on my key to attempt to raise and lower my windows however it doesn't work. Do I need to reprogram my car to do it?

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
Car has to have this enabled through the vag-com software! Sorry it does not work. You should add to my reputation for the throttle body alignment

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
I am not sure if some of you are going to understand this bit functions but here it is this is taken from the ross tech site
In Module 46 - Central Convenience:
State Bit Dec. Function
ON 0 1 windows up with remote
ON 1 2 windows down with remote
ON 2 4 windows up with key in lock
ON 3 8 windows down with key in lock
ON 4 16 sunroof close with remote
OFF 5 32 sunroof open with remote (does not appear to work)
ON 6 64 sunroof close with key in lock
OFF 7 128 sunroof open with key in lock (does not appear to work)
So esentially if your coding is for example 11836 and you want to add the close sunroof function you would add 64 to that number so you are at 11900 and click do it!!!
Usually on the new vag-com program adding 64 adds windows up and down function as far as I remember I would have to double check

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
I have added Address 35 - Comfort Closing via Remote Control as well as Locking via Speed @ 15KM/hr to several B5 A4's, B5 S4's and C5 A6's. Check your model to see if this applies.

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
Thanks for that as mine only applies to B6's and onward, and I forgot about the b5's can you post the photo for the b6's and b7's if you have it handy?
Thanks

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
Yeah I just learned today that you need to program the car to get the window function to work. A friend of mine works for Audi and he said he would do it for me but he said Audi might be hesitant to do it for the simple fact that its unsafe and you could accidentally push the button and walk away not realizing all your windows are down. *shrug*
1move I already added reputation to that post
I would still want this done because a black car on hot days is brutal :/ Id like my car to be at least ventilated a little bit once i finally get to the driver door

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
has anyone tried the de-bosed?
Press and hold the menu button.... till you get to the Nav/ Radio or something menu and turn it all the way to zero and press the button again the system has been De-Bosed. Bass is louder
does it actually work and does it affect anything else?
