i recently got an intake installed on my 01 1.8t and have found that once i let off the gas it is making a fluttering sound similar to compressor surge. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem after an intake install and is this actually compressor surge...if so how do i get rid of the sound, upgrade DV..?

Is it a "POHHHH" sound or a quicker "tish-tish-tish-tish" sound when you let of the gas under boost?

First is normal, second may be the diverter not opening.

Hard to diagnose over the internet - hold your monitor closer to the motor

 

its sounds more like the tish tish tish sound, kind of like a rattle , ill try to get a video with sound posted
