The 2.0t will be here in July. No TDI for at least two more years.

I've driven a 2.0 A4 and it doesn't have nearly as much power as the 3.2 yet it consumes "almost" as much gas. I think for a car like the Q5 A 2.0t option isn't strong enough but this is just my opinion.

One thing I love about the Q5 is that the roads aren't flooded with them. The 2.0t will definitely change that. There are lots of folks out there who will be attracted by a lower price tag and also by the fact that on paper it's a 4 cylinder car not realizing that a 2.0 liter turbo engine and a 3.2 aren't far off as far as the gas consumption is concerned.

This will simply ensure a market flood. I personally am not a fan of this approach. Once again this is just my opinion.

I drove an A4 avant and a Q5 and found the exact opposite... Same amount of torque. The 2.0T seemed much stronger, smoother and responsive. The V6 felt like a bunch of cats on a treadmill...

I bought the 3.2 because I did not want to wait. Would have loved a TDI. I had an A6 2.0 TDI. Strong like crazy! I do not understand why no TDI is offered by default. Love TDI!

I am trying to decide between the B8 Avant and the Q5 - do you also find that the 2.0T, while it is torquey and fun to drive, is a lot noisier than the 3.2FSI of the Q5?
