Weathertech Liners

Re: Weathertech Liners
As far as the front and rear mats go, weathertechs are where its at. they go up the side which is a huge advantage over the winter audi mats. They also use the lock points to secure the mat to the floor.

Re: Weathertech Liners
You can add me to that list as well. The Weathertech mats work very well and I use the Audi Trunk Mat too.

Re: Weathertech Liners
Hi guy's, I just recently ordered and received the weathertech liners and am unable to secure the mats to the floor. The lock points don't snap in.
Anyone know if this is normal?

Re: Weathertech Liners
I had no issues with mine. I removed the carpeted mats and centered the hole over the floor peg and pushed down until it snapped in place. The fit was exactly the same as the factory mats. Have you measured the diameter of the floor peg and the hole in the weathertech mats?

Re: Weathertech Liners
Hi Brian,
I didn't check the diameters;
I think the problem is that the hole in the weathertech mat is too large because when I press down the weathertech mat caps, they don't snap into place but rather pop back up.

Re: Weathertech Liners
Water that accumuates in the mat gets moved around during accel and braking and leak through the hole staining the carpet. At least, that is what happened on mine (Ford EDGE).
They do not need to be secured as they fit perfectly in the area and cannot move around like a regular flat mat.
I wish they were not there.

Re: Weathertech Liners
I tried to press down and twist the cap and I heard a snap, -but then it popped back up.
I'm thinking of using black tape to close off the opening around the cap.
I'm surprised that Weathertech didn't test these mats before selling them on the market. I'm going to give them a call.
