Just an update on the weathertech liners, -I called and they confirmed the liners should snap into place just likie the OEM winter mats. They asked I send them back for inspection and that they would replace them should they be defective.

I'm pissed off, spent 220$ and my brand new carpets are all stained with salt! also still wet.

I've seen generic front and back mats at Wal-mart and Canadian Tire. Anyone have any luck with TRUNK mats at department stores?
I already got the front and back mats from the dealership -is there any point in keeping the original carpet mats?

My Weathertech's snap right in. Should be a snug fit... having said this, they did ship my mats with the wrong grommets when I first got them. Took a few phone calls and wrong replacement parts until they shipped out the correct grommets. Good news was that while they did technically "screw up" by sending the wrong grommets, they were very eager to rectify the issue and get me the right parts quickly.

GenSpec-Glad to hear they sent you the right grommets. They gave me a refund and said that all their mats are from the same mold and they were made and fit the same.

I first bought the Audi rubber mats but my colleagues raved about the Weathertech. I found the Audi driver's mat to be quite small. So I bought the Weathertech, thinking I would sell the Audi mats. The Weathertechs fit great and I was very happy until I went to the carwash and removed the mat to wash it. The carpet underneath was completely soaked! While the mat covers completely at the front, they are very shallow at the back so when you accelerate the water spills over. (Yes, I know you have to empty them.) Since I still had the Audi mats I now have the Audi mat over the Weathertech just to catch the water. Very disappointing. The rears fit and cover nicely though.

I just ordered a set for my Q5 that should get delivered in a few weeks. On my previous cars, I used to completely wrap the carpet with thick clear polythene in the Winter. I would remove it in the Spring. Works well.

audi cabin mats are rubberized, but the audi cargo liner is plastic. I'm somewhat disappointed that the cargo liner is not rubberized (or other anti-slip material). It reminds me of a large dish dryer tray. But it's still cleaner than leaving the trunk bare.

Wow..you leave that much water sloshing around in the mats that it spills over! you can't blame the mats for that. I live in an area with just as much snow and have no problem at all. Try knocking the big junks off your boots before you get in

I also ordered front & rear mats from Weather tech & happy with my choice. I haven't ordered cargo mat which I am going to order from Audi.

Cheers!

I'm not happy with the Weathertech rear seat liners. They curl on the sides and are made out of such cheap plastic.

I wish someone made a liner to go over the hump like a Husky liner in a pickup. I drop my kids off at school and they have a hard time not scuffing the center stack.

That said, the front Weathertech liners for the Q5 are the only way to go. They provide way more coverage of the drivers side floor than the factory rubber mats.
