Hi,

I have a 2007 Q7 S Line 4.2, and a while ago I had it into the dealership, and they said the computer read a code saying that the throttle was out of adjustment. They said that they adjusted the throttle position. Ever since that, I have had trouble with the smoothness of the throttle at low speeds ad starting from a stop. I can't go back to the dealer as I was just passing through the city when I had a check engine light come on and that was the original issue that I stopped for. The dealership was in Seattle and is hundreds of miles from where I live.
It now feels that the throttle is not adjusted properly and the vehicle hesitates and feels like it hunts for the proper gear until about 20 Km/h.
Has anyone else heard of anything like this, or more appropriately, anyone have an idea for a solution? Taking it to another dealership for service is not an option as there isn't one near me.

Is your gas pedal sometimes stocks?

 

The pedal feels normal in the way it travels, it just feels like the first centimetre or so of travel is being misinterpreted by the computer, and results in unsmooth gas application, and sometimes an early, rougher shift to 2nd because of it.
