roof rails?
Are the Q5 roof rails compatible to the Q7? I am thinking about purchasing a set that has not been used for $150.
Or should I just go with an all Thule system with cargo box??

You mean cross bars right?
Roof rails are attached to the car,can't be removed.
Cross bars the lock part of it that locks into the roof rail is compatible but you have to check to see if the crossing distance is the same. Q5 might have a smaller roof than the Q7. Call the dealer they can tell you.
