I'm searching for real-world numbers on SQ5 fuel consumption. After a lot of deliberation, I'm almost positive this is the model I want. I wouldn't say I'm overly concerned about the cost of fuel but I'm not a fan of surprises. I've looked at a number of sites but all I can find are EPA and NRC estimates, which aren't the least bit helpful.

Anyone have experiences they're willing to share? Thanks!

 

Try this website. There has been lots of discussion around SQ5 mileage. Keep in mind where the poster is from as you may have to do a conversion to get back to Cdn mpg.

I get about 550 - 600 Kms to a tank. 70 liter I believe. I do a mix of gas miser and full blown track mode driving, highway city combination. Remember to calculate premium fuel price.

 

Do not buy this car for gas mileage.

With that being said, I get about the same as mentioned above-- about 550-600 Kms depending on how many high speed chases I get in that day.

If I put it in comfort and stay about 115kph on the highway, I'd maybe see 720kms on a tank.

For real time mileage, I see about 7.6l/100km on the highway doing the limit on flat ground. My 335xi took 6.7l/100km in the same situation.

 

Hahahah I would agree, do not buy for gas mileage.
