Very cool. I'm a huge fan of having less in my pockets. Who did the install for you?

I believe it's $50 for a one year plan, so at a little over $4/month it's not a bad deal.

I got it done in Edmonton at:

Custom Auto Electronics
780-414-0666
10929 - 166A Street

The owner is Dwayne, he does everything himself and can pretty much build or install anything electronic related you want. His work is amazing. If you go see him tell him the guy with the Brown Q5 sent you.

I am curious as to the install itself. Do you have to provide a valet key (if one even exists on the Q5?) or use a transponder bypass.

Sorry I am new to the Q5, but I plan on getting a two-way remote start put in.

What was the name of the place in Edmonton that installed this for you? This is exactly what I'm looking for in my 2010 A4 Avant... Also need an oil-pan heater installed (my car is from Ontario and doesn't have one) but I'm sure the dealership will do this for me...

Sorry, somehow missed your response to leftarm's question! Whoops. I'm a newbie. Thanks for the info, it's a huge help...

I am about to pull the trigger on this remote start feature, the shop told me that I have to give up a fob which will be plugged into a devise (will be hidden somewhere in the car) that read off the chip in your fob so that the car can do the remote start action. Is that the case on people who installed this remote start feature?
