Q5 Audi care

Re: Q5 Audi care
Sbiggs... thanks for the info... I will have to try the reports then... Did you deal directly with the General Manager or with a regular Salesman. I am sure the salesman don't appreciate those reports since it cuts down their commission.
I am going to post the new pricing for Canada on the 2.0T and 3.2 under my "2011 Order Guide Forum" for anybody that cares about the new prcing for 2011 Q5 (2.0T and 3.2).
2011 2.0T are confirmed to be arriving early August and new 3.2 with the new features arriving July.

I worked with a sales rep only, however she had to talk to the manager to get approval. Strangely enough, I never spoke to the general manager or a finance department. It was actually kind of nice not being pushed from one person to the next, all trying to convince me they're giving me a good price.

Re: Q5 Audi care
Hi all,
I am new to the forum and am looking to purchase a 2011 Q5 2.0T. I will only be using the car for leisure (rather than driving back and forth from work) so the miles put on it will be fairly minimal. I'm estimating around 8000-10000km per year.
If this is the case, will an Audi Care package still be worthwhile to get since there is a 5 year limit? In 5 years I would expect to drive the car about 40-50k km, so only using 1-2 maintenance appointments.
If it's better for me to just pay for the maintenance separately then I can push harder for a better price on the car rather than asking for Audi Care for free.
Would love to know what you guys think. Thanks!

Re: Q5 Audi care
Recommended maintenance is based on mileage and time. There's opposing thoughts on whether or not the time element is relevant, but it basically suggests that you shouldn't go a year without regularly scheduled maintenance. This means that even if you aren't at 8K in the first year, you should still go for the first service and oil change at the end of that year. If you haven't reached 25K kms at the end of the first two years, you should still have the 25K service done by the end of year two. Consider it like having your teeth cleaned by the dentist, even though you don't have any cavities.
If you do follow the time schedule of the regular maintenance, you will definitely have all of the service intervals completed in 5 years. If anything, your regular maintenance and upkeep will suggest to a potential future buyer that your car was well maintained.
You can download the service schedules here: Audi Canada > Your Audi > Owners > Maintenance Schedule

Re: Q5 Audi care
To add to Tony's point in this post below I've listed all the items that is included in the care package (that you either pay for or get for free) what you see up to 80K will be included as part of it.
My suggestion is to call Audi and find out how much they charge for each individual task listed. Based on that you can do the math compare it to the package cost and see if it makes sense.
