Yeah, not as often as I expected. Was in Halifax this weekend. Saw a few white q5, maybe 3. All white and shiny. Fine looking ride, as the family gets smaller, i'll probably be getting one. 😊

I've been informed that the SQ5 arrives on Dec 30. We are currently negotiating what processes will be used in prepping the vehicle upon arrival. I'm hesitant to let my dealer take a polisher to my paint. I'm a bit of a detailer myself and I am nervous they won't be able to prep it to my standards.

 

Good to know. What would you recommend? Just a simple wax job?

In my world, there's no such thing as a simple wax job. All I want them to do is correct any markings that may have occurred during transport. That would typically be done using a compound and polisher. After that, I want to seal the paint using a nano-coating by a company called Gtechniq. So, I've asked them to only do the mildest polish they can and I'll take it from there. This is what my dealer typically uses on new cars:

Thanks for the info. Just called dealer and according to them, ETA will be probably end of Jan. On myaudi tracker the boat is halfway through the ocean. Does this sound right?
