Hi guys, I'm looking to purchase a Q5 TDI, needed some advice on the pricing I received from a few dealerships. Do you guys think I can do better? Progressiv/Technik

Hi Sam,

I just purchased (leased) my first Audi after 15+ years of driving full size pick up trucks. I ordered it from Downtown Audi on February 1st, and the dealer said i would have it on May 12th, probably sooner. It's sitting in Halifax right now. I've ordered the same as you (Technik) with exception of the of the stereo (I went with the stock unit). You got a better price than me! There was no discount. I was told, (not by the sales rep) good luck trying to get a discount on a very in demand factory ordered model. Are you looking at a vehicle on the lot or factory order? I really wanted the TDI and no dealer had any at the time I ordered.

Here's my pricing breakdown:

2014 Q5 TDI: $53,200.00
Nav Package: $3200.00
Moonlight Blue: $800.00
Audi Anti Theft: $195.00 vs $158.00
Air Conditioning Fee: $100.00
Admin Fee: $295.00 vs $395.00
Freight & PDI: $1995.00
Tire Fee: $29.20 vs $28.45
OMVIC: $5.00
Fuel: $65.00 vs $75.00
Licence: $20.00

It's interesting to see the difference in pricing on the "extras". They didn't add in or offer the locking wheel nuts on mine. At this point, after waiting 3.5 months I just want my car!

Good luck!

Paul

Hi Paul, great to know you're going to own this great car. I am assuming its a factory order considering Technik requires patience. I was given this quote after some back and forth running around. I guess I will go ahead and order it since I can vouch for your experience. I'm yet to test drive any of these!
