We just placed an order for a Premium, S-Line with Drive Select. With a new addition to our family our 01' A4 just didn't quite have the room we needed. The Q5 seems to be a near-perfect balance of extra capacity while still keeping a sporty feel.

Went back and forth many times on the colour and settled with Amethyst Grey. It was tough because all we had to go on were a couple pictures and a tiny swatch. A little purple, but I think it looks pretty good. Didn't get the B&O which may be the biggest regret... still debating that choice in my mind.

As far as the Tech and Nav. The only reason we'd get the Nav package would be for the actual nav system. And as someone put it; you'd use it as often as you use a map. Therefore we couldn't justify the price.

The Tech package was also a 50/50 decision. The Advanced Key was the one thing we would have loved to have had, and if it was the only way to get memory seats we would have been sold. My wife is shorter than I so any time we switch drivers it's a real pain to re-adjust everything. The Homelink is a nice feature too, but our current Homelink doesn't work so we were a bit sceptical. And we looked at the lights and the side assist as bonus features that didn't put us over the hurdle to get it.

 

You must get the B&O! Together with the nav, they make a great combo. Watch movies with surround sound. Call your dealer and ask them to add it, you won't regret it.

 

Thanks, I guess that's the one thing that's good about the long order time is there's still time to add additional features.

 

You MUST MUST get Navi and B&O, I have it on my 2010 and it's awesome. Oh and they told me 5 months too it was here in 1.5 months. Don't sweat it. I bought it from Down Town Audi, Toronto.

Wow, only a 1.5 month wait? Nice! No such luck here, the last update was Apr.20, which would end up being 5 months.
I'm starting to see a few more driving around here in Calgary which is just making the waiting even harder. The Q5 really does grab your attention!

 

WOW, it's taking a long time. I signed on June 9 and had the car Sep 10. I get that it takes longer for it to get to Calgary from Halifax than it does to Toronto but this is nuts. Oh well, it's worth the wait trust me. The more I drive it the more I love it. Don't forget to post pics when you pick it up.

 

HI! I am waiting for my Q5 too...ordered it on December 1. I was told 2 weeks ago it arrived in Halifax so should be here in Calgary in the next 10 days or so...then we are on vacation so I'll have to wait longer! I keep seeing a black Q5 around my area but that's it.

Mine is white. I saw an amethyst grey one in November and it looked great!

 

Hi, I am also waiting for my Q5 2010, sline quartz gray. Ordered on dec 4, 2009. Seems to be in Halifax since march 10 and scheduled to be delivered in Laval, Quebec in few days.

 

For those of you who ordered and are still waiting...what was the delivery time you were told when you bought? I bought at the end of January and was told April delivery (no more specific than that). Just curious how likely that is. It's really hard to get any details from the dealership about how much lead time they usually have before delivery, when they can provide a specific delivery date, etc.
