Thanks for all your help guys. Looks like the Q5 is getting in to town in two weeks according to my sales person.

I'm pretty excited. I'm guessing I'm supposed to look for ipod cable, roof rack bars.

a) I was wondering does your Q, come with wheel locks?

b) I want to negotiate having the audi care and winter mats included. From your experience, is this doable?

c) Are there other things I should check for?

It's doable and still not late. Give it a try.

Check for the items you listed also check for all 3 keys (one is a service key). And yes they have rim locks.

If you miss anything you can always go back.

here's a delivery checklist I found from another forum that you guys might fight handy sorry couldn't load the pdf file:
Audi Q5 Checklist
Pre-Pickup• Digital camera
• Price quote documentation
• Car insurance paperwork - insurance coverage and
proof of insurance
At Pickup (inside vehicle)
• Two keys
• Valet key and holder in the glove box or received
from dealer
• All manuals and maintenance log
• Audi Roadside Assistance card
• Verify that the VIN on the vehicle matches the
paperwork
• Verify options on car:
o All weather mats and trunk liner
o Carpeted floor mats included
o 3.5mm iPod adapter cable
o Tow Hitch
o Bang & Olufsen sound system
o 19” Wheels
o Wheel locks
o Navigation system (and backup camera)
o Roof bars with rubber inserts
• Check oil level - use MMI interface
• Any upholstery rips and tears and stains?
• Vinyl surfaces clean
• No scratches on plastic trim
• Interior vanity & map lights
• Glove box light
• Instrument panel lights
• Window and door lock switches lit?
• Odometer reading doesn't show excessive mileage;
should not be more than 20-25 miles.
• Verify full fuel tank
• Trip computer displays and switches.
• Wipers work: on normal speeds.
• Wipers work in interval mode. In interval mode, does
thumbwheel vary the interval?
• Horn works.
• All windows go up & down fully.
• All window controls work.
• All door lock controls work.
• External mirror adjustment buttons work
• Seat heaters work.
• Front driver seat adjust fully up/down,
forward/backward, recline
• Front passenger seat adjust fully up/down,
forward/backward, recline
• Front Seats are tight and rattle-free with no rocking.

or Dunlop Grandtrek Touring)
o Do they match the car's spec? (should
be all-weather)
• No dealership sticker/emblem
• Drive the vehicle in the parking lot - check for low
speed wheel shudder when turning tightly
• Steering wheel properly aligned
• Both key fobs work: lock and unlock the car, unlock
the hatch; the "panic" button works.
• Take pictures from all angles, from far back as well
as close-up.
• Perfect paint: no chips or scratches. And no graffiti
in hidden places like on door jamb.
• Windshield & Windows clean & undamaged.
• Headlight & taillight lenses clear, undamaged, no
condensation.
• All lights verified to work from outside
• Head lights(high beam/low beam)
• Fog lights
• Parking lights
• Brake lights
• Reverse backup lights
• Directional signals
• Car washed and detailed
