What is a reasonable discount to ask for? We would need a new car (for lease) this spring and we are looking into Q5 or Q7. In particular, Q5 looks very good! We would get the premium plus trim including navigation package and sunroof, so MRSP is almost $50,000. I wonder asking for $3,000 (6%) discount is unreasonable? I hear the dealer markup is about 9% so 6% discount seems reasonable but...

I hear that there is no inventory and in fact a 3months waiting time so we don't have a lot of leverage.

I got my fully loaded Q5 3.2 premium at 5% discount last August. ( with a free cargo liner)

 

I must suck only discount I got was free audi care and mats.
