DRL dead

Re: DRL dead
I have the same 1, 2 problems and steering vibrates as Warcity. Mine is a 2010 Q5. Both 1 and 2 have been fixed. For problem 1 they changed both modules and for problem two they change 4 out of 6 fuel injectors, Out of curiosity, I called the parts dept and found out that each fuel injector costs approx. $240. If I have to pay that bill, I guess including labor it will cost me $1500. Also, I can see why Audi did not want to advertise these issues as it is obvious it will tarnish their image while their sales are up. they rather fix it hush hush.
I was really excited about my Q5 before but after all these issues plus the service and incompetence of the mechanics, I am just lukewarm about my Q5 now.

The downtown dealership is fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable service reps. They're very quick and they're really good with shuttle buses and loaners. Dealership is huge and very nice. I am not too crazy about the sales reps though. IMO buy your car in a different dealership but have it serviced there.

No, all the issues I had was covered under the warranty but I was wondering how much I would have to pay if they were not covered. Sooner or later, we will run out of warranty, and we have to pay for the up keeps.
No, I still have the vibrating issues at low speed (like backing out from garage etc.) and I briefly mentioned to the service rep, they said it is normal. I will monitor the situation though.Sorry if I didn't make myself clear
Good luck with your DRL issues. Take Care.

Re: DRL dead
Thanks for clarifying. You're absolutely right, with out the warranty the expenses would really get out of hand.
The steering vibration issue is definitely not normal but they're working on a solution. He told me it can't harm any components of the car including the tires. It's more of an irritant.
