It all depends on where your located as well. The more dealership in your area, there's a good chance you'll get a good deal. It's all about competition.

This logic is very true but when a car is in demand, no discounts. You don't want it someone else will.

I too got 7% off the MSRP but that's because my employer was on their employee discount list of employers. But if you don't have that, it's pretty hard getting anything more than thousand bux off. Mind you I got my 2010 back in Sep of 2009 tons of demand at that time new car right before winter. It arrived in about 40 days.

I don't have any association with Audi, I think I really lucked out. I ordered my Q5 September 26th 2009 with a late delivery due to the lease on my Jeep ending in July 2010.

That's awesome. Consider yourself really lucky.

Tell me: How's the is the AWD between the Jeep and the Audi in your opinion? (You can send me a private message since this thread is not about AWD)

The sales woman laughed at me when I told her I wanted 2000 off. She also was the worst backseat driver, telling me how to test drive the car. Apparently its not a sports car.
I ended up buying the MB GLK instead. Cheaper and they gave me a decent deal.
I was choosing between GLK and Q5. First I test drove the GLK (just wife and myself were in the car, not salesman or saleslady ). I drove it like I stole the car and I mean the car was okay but wasn't really impress with the whole car except the price range was within our price range. Few weeks later I test drove the Q5 (again just wife and I were in the car only). So again drove it like I stole it. I am impress with the power delivery, handling, the interior, the Nav, etc. All are surpassed the GLK. After that day, I never look back at the GLK. I was jumping from dealer to dealer to look for the best deal. I got the SPP offerred and a free winter mat and picked it up Jan 02, 2010. Now I am a happy camper

There is no place giving out q5 deals that I know of, they can't afford to give out the deal.
there is list's that everyone is trying to get on so they can have the q5, so if you get a chance to buy it, suck it up and buy it.

they are so nice, but the 2010 Q7 is so nice.
