I think the ball is a bit in their court based on the demand. The car is totally worth it though!

try looking up the Audi Supplier Purchase Program and if you work for one of the qualified companies you can get 7% + Audicare

The Q5, Merc GLK, Volvo V60, etc are all over sold. You have to put an order just to get one. So that means no discounts. They are amazing vehicles so it seems they are worth the price.

I wouldn't hold your breath too long over this. There seems to be plenty of people paying the MSRP.

So true; after a 6 month wait, Audi could not tell when I would have my Q5. I cancelled my order and got a Tiguan instead->cheaper but still fun to drive.

It's worth it, I researched between Q5, GLK and XC60. Q5 won on all grounds. I got the 7% discount plus extra 1K. You really have to go form dealer to dealer

When I was ordering our Q5, I told them how much I was willing to pay, and they accepted my $2000.00CAD under MSRP. So I think it's just a case of being straight forward, I'm young looking so I think they thought I might get declined for the financing lol.

2000 is a fantastic deal! Good for you. I brought in the carcost report but they wouldn't even give me 500 off. I tried different sales people as well, but all they said was demand is high, volume is low. I'm guessing that wasn't in Edmonton either.
The sales woman laughed at me when I told her I wanted 2000 off. She also was the worst backseat driver, telling me how to test drive the car. Apparently its not a sports car.
I ended up buying the MB GLK instead. Cheaper and they gave me a decent deal.

I bought mine in Southern Ontario. I simply stated how much I was willing to pay, take it or leave it...they took it. I dealt directly with the Sales Manager though, I think they had a slow day. I don't mess around when I buy cars lol, just don't have the time or patience to play the back and forth game. My second option was the BMW X3...glad I didn't buy that now!

That SPP is over as of Dec 31, 2009. The new one is not as good.
