Default 09-10 3.6 vs TDI

Hey guys, I am new to the forums and am really interested in gettin a Q7, used to own an Allroad 2004, loved it want to get back into an Audi

I am looking for some advice from all the owners of the 3.6 vs TDI, which is the right way to go is the TDI mileage worth the extra premium you pay to get it? will one last longer than the other? looking for this to be the family hauler for the next 7-10 yrs...other cars i have been looking at are R320/R350 TDI's GL320/350 TDI's and X5 3.5d's

thanks in advance

Having driven the MB, VW and Audi Diesel's one thing I noticed immediately was the level of refinement the Q7 had over the other two. The sound insulation was the one thing I really noticed being a top point for me. The power of the Q7 TDI is awesome..........feels like something is just pushing you along even going up hills at 120 KMs.
