Default Vacuum tubes

I have '06 A4 2.0L CVT with 125,000Km. When going downhill, sometimes the engine revs and acts like a brake and sometimes it doesn't. Seems I recall it could be two things but I can't find anything on it. As strange as it seems, one cause could be a part in the dash or glovebox and I don't have a clue where the other problem could be or what any of this is called. I would like to be able to be specific when I take it in for service.

If any of this sounds logical or you can help me out I would be grateful.
