my father has a 1986 audi 5000 and the gas tank rusted out. new ones are too expensive so i am looking for one from a parts car. if anyone has one in good shape please let me know, i am desperate here.

i am located in kincardine ontario. It is nothing for me to drive to toronto or london though, they are only 2 hours away. i am hoping someone has something.

How bad is the fuel tank? ive used Gas Tank Exchange before to repair leaking steel oil pans they do a good job they weld the tank and coat them with epoxy or something along those lines 3 year warranty if i remeber correctly. Give them a call maybe they have one laying around or just bring yours in and maybe they can repair it.

 

how much would you want for the tank? Also anyone in here know if the tank is the same from the wagon to the sedan?

Remember the tanks are different for quatto and non-quattro. As it's rusted out it must be a quattro, there are probably none in Canada that aren't rusted out. Look South.

Did you find a tank? I had mine repaired but am now parting my 5000 turbo cd. It is a 2 wheel drive , if that makes a difference
