will the gas tank from an 1988 Audi 5000 QT fit into an 1986 audi 5000 4 door sedan? i cant find any info on the net. please get back to me , i need this tank, i am hoping its the same tank.

ill actually compair the tanks tommorrow to cheak if no answers by then, i have a 4 door sedan as my daily and the wagon as a parts car so ill crawl under both and investigate lol

If you put a used tank in you may inevitably have to replace that one two. You can probably fix your old one for around $300, and it is worth doing for the trouble you may get into otherwise.

I am in Ottawa and am parting out my 1986 audi 5000 cd. I looked all over Canada/USA for a used tank (last year) and could not find one. I spent $300 to get my gas tank rerpaired. I am now parting out the car as I had a front end accident.

$300 for the tank.
