Re: Audi A5 from US to Canada?
Hi yes audi canada honours the the standard warranty;they do not honour the certified warranty though which is odd.If in doubt give audi canada a ring as they are one company and cojointly operate with audi USA.

That is:
$100 fee per problem ($50 in US)
Warranty is transferable for $150 fee. (not transferable in US)

Re: Audi A5 from US to Canada?
Because of the current cross border shopping trend evident in today's economy, Audi Canada's Warranty policies are as strict as ever. Yes, the original factory warranty (4yr/80k) on any Audi is transferable nation wide. CPO warranties are NOT. Why? For the simple fact that U.S. DOT Standards differ from Canadian DOT Standards. Crash statistics, safety standards, driving habit statistics, all play a role in the different regulations from U.S. to Canada. On top of that, currently, Audi Canada (Ajax, ON) is in the midst of a separation from Audi of America (Auburn Hills, MI) in terms of support and regulations. US models are becoming less and less attainable in Canada, especially since Audi's model line is increasing significantly. (I.E. RS4 Cabriolet, TT-S, TT-RS, RS5, RS6, V10 R8, V12TDI R8, etc.)
Anyway, hope this burns the fog...
Different times call for different measures!

Re: Audi A5 from US to Canada?
Very interesting! That is not what Audi told me today. I specifically asked about CPO warranty, and after double checking with her supervisor, the rep said that the CPO warranty from the US is valid in Canada with the conditions as stated. I guess the acid test comes when/if you have to make a claim.

Well Audi Offers International Warranty so it should be valid In Canada. Anyway best that you check with eimports4less.com. Someone else buying from Canada is bound to have asked this question too.

Latest update:
Took the Allroad in to the local Audi dealer for service and DRLs and one of the airbags was replaced under the CPO warranty, no questions asked. I must say Audi America have been extremely helpful with information etc through the whole process. I phoned them for a recall clearance letter, and they faxed it back within 48 hrs no charge. The Audi reps couldn't be more nicer or more accomodating. The car itself is absolutely wonderful (apart from the gas mileage), and makes potholed streets just melt away. I've had the A4 for 3 yrs and love it, but with the sport suspension it feels like a go-cart compared to the allroad.

p.s. Having the air-suspension on the Allroad definitely is a plus to normal springs and shocks! (Just pray you never have to repair or replace anything to do with it! AirSuspension issues are a bitch to the pocket!)
Happy cruising!
