Just a couple of questions...
Hi all,
I have a 2005 S4 Cabrio since new, now with 135K kms, and am wondering about a couple of things:
-can anyone in the GTA recommend a good mechanic? I had been going to Pfaff in Newmarket, but had a horrible experience there last service. I need a new mothership.
-my dear old girl has a few scratches and little dings...any good shops where they can detail it and take care of this very minor bodywork?
-I've always had a complaint about the throttle response, including an episodically sticking high idle, but no resolution from dealer on multiple visits. Is there any harm in chipping a car with this kind of mileage on it?
No matter how good looking the new Audis are, I still think my S4 is one of the prettiest pieces of rolling sculpture on the road
Thanks
Mike

There are a number of very good specialized mechanics in and around the GTA area and here are two to begin with. Try Independent Tuning, and H2 Motorsport which is in Georgetown.
Chipping will give you some horsepower on your naturally aspirated engine but what is really does well is improve throttle response. Again a number of tuning shops will recommend different tunning. In this area you really need to determine what your really want out of a tune and then do your homework. There is no harm in chipping / tuning at any age.
Body repair shops are a dime a dozen out there. Again you really need to do your homework. I recently came across a very good body person and am planning on trying them out before I make any recommendations.
We have a Free Oil Change day planned on the 11th in Mississauga and I would recommend you come out if for no other reason but to get some great advise from other owners.
Hope this helps and welcome to the forum.
