Hello!
Hey, Thought I'd post here as a quick hello...
Got my A4 used out of the states this December, and have enjoyed every minute of it so far. Looking forward to meeting some of you in Calgary for the Audi club meeting this Thursday. The car's in for it's regular and final "warranty" service so hopefully all is well on that front. After this one, I'll be looking for some opinions on GREAT service shops in calgary for our cars.
Cheers!

Re: Hello!
Yeah, the Vag is gonna come in handy... I'd eventually like to do the EFU 4u install and an RNS-E... The Vag is needed for the RNS-E for sure. Since i've got the 3.0 there aren't a lot of mods that can significantly enhance performance as far as I know but I'm willing to learn.

Re: Hello!
The 3.0 is a dream as the basis for a bi-turbo monster. All kidding aside, great car. Unfortunately I will be in Cali when the first meet and greet takes place. But I look forward to meeting you on our first drive.

Re: Hello!
The reason I went for the 3.0 vs the 1.8T was driveability. Torque all the time, any gear, any speed, it pulls instantly when you step on it, no lag, solid pull, and it's faster than my brother's TSX , especially when it's slippery ...
But modded 1.8T's claim to be capable of putting out REDICULOUS power for their displacement... Now I've driven a few cars where the numbers don't tell the whole story, and the big thing for me is friendly/usable linear toque/power delivery on demand.

Re: Hello!
Check over at audizine.com or audiworld.com, some of those guys are using the 3.0 block as the start to 600+ hp builds. Guessing it would cost, but big power always does. I havent seen any posts of people who have actually completed this build, so I couldn't tell you about driveability. In general biturbo engines have less lag than a single large turbo setup. My A6 2.7t with K04's is very smooth on the power, only when you really push does it get twitchy. HP and TQ on demand at almost every point above 2000rpm
