Default Can I fit in a TT? INTRO

Greetings Audi lovers,
I live in Minnesota and drive long distances for my work, 300,000 miles on my 98 VW TDI so I gave that to my college kids for cheap transportation.
I am currently driving a 2002 Honda Civic and thinks it's "OK" but definitely not a German car by any means, that soon will be donated to the "poor college kids'.
For a short period I looked at the Mini, but have since came to my senses and have been looking at used 2000=2004 Audi TT's with an occasional A4 and A6 thrown in for good measure.
The question I have is legroom in a TT for a guy 6'3?
Believe it or not the BUG had tons of leg room and with the TDI averaged 50 MPG, I need to believe the 6 speed TT would be ideal but I have noticed quite a few with transmission problems for sale???
Any suggestions are appreciated as I believe the Quattro would be a safe bet in the winters.
Pete
