Hi I just joined the forum. I find a used set of Audi Winter wheel/tire package that was off a 2001 Audi S4. I am still waiting for the detail but assume it's 225/45R17 with 5X112 bolt patterm. Does anyone know if they can be used on my 2011 Q5 2.0T that should use 235/65R17 as per Audi dealer. My all season tires are 19" that were OE'd on my Q5.

2001 S4 has a bolt pattern of 5-112 offset of +35mm
2011 Q5 2.0t has a bolt pattern of 5-12 offset of 35mm.

It should fit. Bare in mind that for the S4 the "recommended" winter tire is 17" but for Q5 the "recommended"
size 18".

Based on this info it "should" fit.

Audi Q5 has a center bore of 66.56, so whatever wheels you're putting on, must have it no less than 66.56 (mm) as well. 5-112 bolt pattern and 35 offset should be fine as Warcity pointed out.

 

Thank you both for the answers. I am concerned about the differences of tire height rations and the load indexes between the two models. I checked the Audi official website for winter tires. It says 235/65R17 108H for Q5 and 225/45R17 for 94T for S4. Would these differences in height and load be of any issue?
I want to save $$ by going used package from a S4 but don't want to cause any problem. Appreciate if you can provide some advice.

235/65 is wider so it will give you more ground clearance which is probably better for winter driving.

 

i dont think that you should put a low profile car tire on an SUV...Just my opinion. I think that it may look strange.

 

In most cases that right but the Q5 Sline factory tire is fairly low profile not very but relative to a typical winter tire it's low profile and IMO looks fantastic. For winter specifically personally I'd want thicker tire to help with ground clearance. But in winter safety is more important than appearance.

 

If thoes are OEM 2001 S4 wheel, chances they have 57.1mm center bore which will not fit Q5.

 

Not to mention that the overall diameter difference between those wheel/tire combos will be about 4". That's way too much. Your is speedo is going to read that you are going about 15% fast than you actually are.

Good points gents. I assumed the deal you got was on an aftermarket S4 tire configuration. I got the specs from tirerack.com
