Default MMI information missing

I'm having an issue where information from my MMI is missing. The 'Car' menu only shows one option for 'Version' and doesn't show any of the diagnostic options so I can't check engine oil or service intervals or anything.
Also, if I look through the diagnostics through the stalk on the steering wheel I can't find the option for tyre pressure. This is a particular issue right now because with the weather getting colder, i've had my TPS go off and now i can't reset it.
Has anyone experienced this before?

my 2011 TTS mmi shows the same thing.
the menus are navigated with the buttons on the wiper control. tps reset should be there too.
good luck
