What size spacers do I get for an 8J Sline TT??
Hey everyone!
I have an MKII TT sline with H&R springs and OEM Sline wheels (the 7 double spokes).
What size spacers should I get considering that I don't want to be bothered by the police daily?
My wheels are gone to ger powdercoated and I won't have them back for at least another month so I can't measure the exact size I need .
If you have pics of your setups, feel free to show me what your spacers look like!
Thanks guys

The 9×19
I test fitted some 10mm last week at the front and some 20mm at the back
10mm were fine, enough clearance in the front but I'll be worried about the bracket that holds the bumper to the inner fender.
Have you had that problem?

I was running 255/35/18's on 9" rims last season and there was some rubbing during some hard cornering (Calabogie).
Do you have the black 3.2 with the TTRS grill?

So, you didn't really have to deal with the bracket rubbing that much?
I do have the black TT with the TTRS grill. How did you know?

Did you pay crazy money for the TTRS grill? Thinking of doing that swap just for more air for my intercooler / oil cooler.
As for the rubbing there isn't much you can do. It wasn't bad if you drove it normally. It rubbed very minimally. I left it the way it was and I'm running an 8" rim this year. The 9" is pretty heavy.

I think you asked me about my carbon fiber spoiler at Home Depot.

I paid 420$ shipped to my house. My boyfriend installed it himself (he's a mechanic) a lot of trimming and adjusting was needed to be able to fit it and it took him about 4hours.
Do you have a turbo setup on your vr6??
As for the rubbing, I think it's going to be a problem because I'll be so wide... It's going to be rubing right on the tire tread.. Oh well. Price to pay for a wider setup I guess!

Your boyfriend did a good job it looked good. I also wanna keep the sleeper look.
I have a stage 2 034 motorsports turbo kit.
I wouldn't run spacers at all, you are gonna have some major rubbing.

He had to trim some of the styrofoam under the oem bumper, just so you know... I had no idea it would be that different
You have a stage 2 turbo kit..?! Damn!
So you're at like 400 whp?! That's craziness. I live my car because of all the torque and I'm still stock engine-wise. Is it a reliable setup?
I'm going to try the spacers anyway... See how that goes and pray to god that my tires don't need to be changed soon because 19" in 255 is nooottt cheap

No TT gatherings that I know of.
It's been good so far, requires a little tweaking.
Yeah, I think you'll be rubbing way too much to run spacers, but give it a try.
