Here's a little suggestion....if you happen to know of anyone from another autobody shop - they usually have a parts company discount with Audi. I was able to get a significant discount on the ordered parts as long as I paid in advance (gotta luv my Visa). This might save a few bucks......

 

I was speaking to an Ottawa audi dealer about bumpers for a 04 TT and they quoted me about $3500 plus labour. So it sounds like your quote was about right. I wonder if you get the work done at a local YOW body shop they may get a bit of a discount from audi.

Anyway this may not be germain to whole thread but I assume that the warranty for your 08 TT is valid in Canada.

sorry everyone, i have been out of the country for a few months now and have been away from a computer. The parts i'm selling include everything you will need to make it a legal conversion. I will give you the sales receipt from the audi dealership (my name and address blanked out). and you will be able to use this receipt with the RIV guys... the parts are 2 boxes that are 6x2.5x2.5 ft. they weigh about 50 pounds each and will probably cost about 100ish to ship. i will ship to anywhere in canada so just let me know if you're interested via private message thanks!

 

Spoke with Transport Canada and they stated the internal review on the bumper issue has been passed on. If this moves ahead they will produce a Part 1 document and post for review. After this the will generate a Part II document to finalize the process. This sounds like a lengthy process so expecting something by this summer is not likely. Also if we go into an election all bets are off.

Does anyone have more detail on the quote above; are the 2008 importable without any mods?
