I just bought the bumper set from the audi dealership for 3500$ they said to take it to any shop i want to get the install. im taking it to a shop i konw that will give me a fair price for the install. then i jsut gotta take the cetified audi dealer reciept saying where i bought the parts from adn the labour charges as well. this will be sent out with canadian tire and then i can get it approved.

p.s. canadian bumpers have nasty bumps on the front and rear bumper popping out for some stupid rule that states that if the car gets into an accident at low speeds there is no big damage to the car. its a different speed for america so we get fuked

 

so its $3500 for a 2008 bumper set ??

 

sorry no that was for the 2003 tt and i wouldnt know about the 2008 ones.

 

guess i can put it on then take it off and sell it to the next guy that wants to inport a tt.....anyone got a price for the new tt 2008?? bumper set

 

cal how much did you pay for your 03 tt and how many miles looking at selling my 02 so i can get the 08 tt

 

ya k for the 2008 you have to change the bumpers toohttp://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/importation/VAFUS/list/VAFUS.pdf.....says on that site that you need to... the two ** beside the car name means change the bumpers. but also I was told you need a reciept from a certified audi dealer fo r the bumpers so dont forget to get that too just in case.
And i first bought my car for 18 thou american but after import and all that crap itll prolly run me 25 thou.

Other than the daytime running lights, there are total of 6 parts you need to replace, you will get the part numbers along with the recall letter from Audi... it's require to replace all 6 parts on all TTs (not sure about the new TTs though..)
I called RIV twice to ask them if the work needs to be done at Audi dealer or can be done elsewhere? and first time i called they said anybody can do it, and second time they said it has to be done by dealer and they said they are 100% sure!!
it costs anywhere from $3800-$5500 to replace the parts (including labor, paint and etc...)
