Members, this is very hard for us to do but we have no choice but to cancel the meet at this time. We were supposed to move into a new building last winter, the plan kept on getting delayed. The opportunity came on short notice and the space we were in had a new lessee having to move in ASAP. The plan was to have our open house (May 28th) in the original location and start moving ASAP. The renovations in the new building are going slower than we had planned and we are still in between two buildings. We currently have no showroom as the drywall and paint is being done, our details have been put on hold until we are set up to detail again and I am typing this notice on a wooden pallet and a recycling box. We thought we can pull it off and still be ready for the event but it won't be ready in time. We are extremely sorry for this! This is the first time we have had to cancel an event and it is very embarrassing. I hope the members understand we did not plan on this and tried hard to make the date.

Very disappointing that you would wait 4 days before the event to tell us, especially after the staff broadcasted the event to 21,000 members of the forum.

Glad i did not take any vacation time and planed time for this as i live a good 15-20 hours away! :S and this would of been a slap!
Hopefully this wont happen again as i do plan on doing a road trip to this next event!

yes its true it does suck and was very much looking forward to the meet and picking up all my summers cleaning supplies but stuff happens and they are moving locations and we all did know that. yes more time would have been good as i moved stuff around and cancelled some stuff to make it out as well but it will happen. i'm sure they are just as upset that they weren't able to be moved in and setup and running as well. hope the rest of the renos go quickly and hope to have a meet when its all done!!

GT, there was no waiting. I looked at the progress today, almost had a nervous breakdown and called in the staff to see where we stand. When we came to the conclusion we can't make the date I posted it here within minutes. It is very unfortunate but we were at the mercy of the building owners we lease from. We have been at it double shifts since the 28th but not everything went as planned. We tried hard to make it happen but didn't want to have a poor event due to the move.
