Hi 1move,
While trying to program a second key I probably did something wronng, now the functions on the master key are also now not working.

The functions work when I insert the key in the door. Is there a way to fix this issue.

Thanks,
Digts

Just get in car, hold the unlock button, stick the key in the ignition while still holding the unlock button, turn it to the "ON" position for about 2-3 secs, turn it off again, take out the key and let go of the unlock button.

I have read around and found everywhere that says for a new key that has never been used on that car it has to goto the dealership. They use their scan tool which hooks to the internet, they enter their audi tech password to make the key work.

This isn't something that you can do on your own with a key never used on the car before. What I am saying refers to my 02 A4.
Use a Vag-com as well works fine for me

^ Was this key used on the car before? If not the keys immobilizer chip has to be programed, I belive you can do it with the vag-com. Not a 100% sure I vaged a friends ebay key and it worked so I am not sure...
