Vag-com
Hi guys,
Since I took my car to East Motors, I've had the feeling that the car doesn't
"feel" like it did. The pep is less than it used to be and I'm not getting the
same pull. Of course this is all speculative since I don't have a boost gauge
but still. I know something is either off or when they scanned my car *perhaps*
they messed with the setup that Chris did at Tapp Auto when he "chipped" my ECU
So my question is. Is there a way to verify that my ECU settings with regards to
the chipping that was done at TAPP has not been altered or tampered with?
Thanks

East motors is what, a dealer? Why not describe what that other shop performed and why the vehicle was there to begin with.
VCDS can log boost pressure and general engine data with an OEM setup and another technician reading live data.
Data can be graphed and played back. It's unfortunate that the initial setup wasn't recorded to be matched to the latest setup.

True....
And East Motors is a shop that did a scan on my car. But since then, my A4 hasn't performed up to par IMHO. Well, since I do have a Vag, can I run some tests on it while driving? ?If so, can you direct me to a link that describes how to do that?
Thanks

Run tests while driving? Not in this life time. You need another person to run the tool or set it to record the data under specific conditions.
A scan of the vehicle will not change the engine management setup, that is not possible.
If another shop looked at the vehicle, why not bring it back. I asked to describe why the vehicle was there and if it a dealer or not.

Anyone in Edmonton or Calgary does VAG Diagnostics? Need to do a check for few bugs please.
Thanks
