Default Re: VAG-COM in Montreal?

I drove to Vag Motorsport two days ago, the place is so busy with AUDI/VW customers. Well, I am planing to get a VAG-COM cable to do the Canadian/US spec plus diagnose problems occuring in the car. I wil be order one soon, but I thought if someone has it or wants it, I can split it and share the use.

Hi Sa3dos,

I have one that an ex Audi owner gave me last week.
But he did not have the drivers and software. I found a driver(KKL) but the version 409.1 of Vag-com doesn't seem to work with it. If you want t try it and you make it work, It will be my pleasure.
If it does not work, then ill be happy to share a new one with you.
I will put it in my car Monday, just sen me a PM or call me at ext 8-2379 if you want it.
Ciao

Hey Prevost,

Depending on which type of Cable you have on hand, the matching release will work with it. So, Release 704 works with HEX+CAN (USB or COM), HEX only (USB or COM), KEY (USB or COM). Otherwise, BI-COM/UNI-COM/TWIN-COM(or USB)/MAX-COM(or USB) work with release 409.1.

Can you verify what type of cable you have? I will be purchasing one in few hours, until then, I will wait for your reply. You can reach me today at (PM ME FOR #)

Ciao

Default VAG-Com Codes

Hey guys,

Yesterday while driving down to Longmont my "Check Engine" light turned on so I decided to check it out with VAG-COM.
I got the following codes:
-16085- No such thing. I do think that it's the Catalyst though since it's whats closes to it.
-17887- Which is my Brake Booster.
-17539- No such thing, but it can also be the Catalsyt.

So the real question. How do I go on checking these. Yes I have tried Ross-Tech Wiki, but that doesn't really tell me how I should check these.
Are these problems that major that I have to take it to the dealership?

Thanks in advance,

/Rob

Default Re: VAG-Com Codes

Ok I found this... perhaps it helps; sorry i couldnt past all the codes over, but it says it exceeds the 50,000 char limit (so here is the link)

Got Vag Codes? Wonder what they mean?

Can't find 16085
17887 falls into the middle of emission codes (so not sure about brake booster)
17539 refers to "Long Term Fuel Trim mult.,Bank2 System too Lean"
