Default Vag Tacho question

Does anyone know if vag tacho resets the airbag light? I have a 2001 A4 1.8T Quatrro, has the airbag light on atm, i've read on others forums that it could be the wires under the seats since the has not been in any accidents. Also my friend was having problems connecting to my car with vag tacho v 1.7. It would say unauthorized or something. He left the pin as 0000 or something i'm guessing it's supposed to show the pin somewhere when it reads the PCM? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Cool VAG-COM in Montreal?

Hello folks,,

I'm shifting from my MINI Cooper S world to the AUDI World. Excited for the new AUDI experience

Owned a fully modified MINI for 3 years and a half, sold it last month and now am switching to '03 AUDI A4 quattro (bought it from Texas, waiting on delivery soon).

Long story short, I am looking for a fellow Audi owner in Montreal region who happens to have the VAG-COM cable and software (which everyone is been talking about). I would like to use it to convert the Car from American Spec to Canadian (code 1 to 4 stuff),, ofcourse for a resonable fee.

pm me if you happen to have one and want to make some $$ from it

I will post some pix from my previous project, now just brainstorming ideas on what to do for the AUDI A4

Hey there I see an RJ in the backround, you a Bombardier boy??? I work at BCCM. I work with a Volks, Audi freak. I'll see if he's got the software, if he doesn't I'm sure he knows someone who does.

Sorry I didn't see JF all week. I usually just bump into him on a regular basis. I'll hunt him down for you this week. Is converting from US to CDN specs all you want to do? or are you also looking at an ECU flash upgrade?

Hi Guy's
I am at BCCM as well, just changed my B6 for a B7.
Let me know if you find somone for the VAG-COM.
It's mostly for some info on how to use it. I am planning to buy one.

Ciao

Ok so I finally talked things over with JF. He doesn't have a cable, he's planning on getting one this year but that isn't any help to you. For now he has his Vag work done by a shop in Laval. "Vag Motorsport" is the name of the shop. I was looking into this place to chip my B5, they're highly recommended by many. Look them up on google.

What exactly do you need done to the car. By converting from US spec to CDN spec, do you mean changing things like Miles to KMs, fuel consumption to metric etc... if so I don't think you need a Vag-Com to do this, a dealer could probably show you how to do it for free... I don't know how.

Anyways keep me posted
