I think there are couple of items to consider.

First the extent / dollar value of the damage. Bumps to front an dback bumpers happen all the time but don't mean you have to walk away from a deal.

Was it professionally repaired?
There shoudl be no evidence of damaged structural sheet metal (behind the skin)
There should be no sign of overspray on other parts. Example - if the front facia / bumper was damaged in a low speed shunt, was the part removed and stripped of grills, fog lights etc before being re-painted?
I also assume it is a clean title and not a rebuilt title? If it is a rebuilt title then walk away.

If it all checks out it is likely a decent car. But be aware that come trade in or re-sell time you have to explain to (convince) someone what was fixed because it doen't have a clean carfax.
