can any one recomend a good lifting jack not made in china can be bought her in Canada?

Costco has

this

decent aluminum jack for $99 every now and then. The same (rebadged) jack sells for $200+ everywhere else in Canada - even at Princess Auto.

i checked it yesterday, but it is made in china, I checked even the NAPA one, it is mad in china too, I can't believe it, no body in north America make them any more?

Where have you been?

Most retail product manufacturing has been done by Asian countries for a long time. It's usually only the higher-quality retail items, or specialized equipment that is manufactured in NA or EU.

I actually bought a (definitely chinese) lightweight aluminium jack at Harbor Freight in Michigan for like $60. Excellent. 3 and a half pumps, and car is all the way up in the air.
