Sorry for the noob question, but dash is telling me my key fob battery needs replacing.

Didn't even know it uses a battery?

Does it recharge if inserted in dash slot?

How do I go about replacing?

 

Just have the dealer replace it for you at your next service. Cost is around $12.
If you replace yourself, you might run into trouble reconnecting to your Audi.

Does NOT recharge when in the slot

You can buy the battery at any electronics store/Walmart ($5-$7 I believe). Get the better quality brand, I don't recommend going to your friendly $ Store for a generic type.
