iPhone vs Blackberry

Re: iPhone vs Blackberry
I work for a medium-sized enterprise (2000+ employees) and I work in the IT sector interacting with a lot of other medium to large sized enterprise companies and I can say that in these environments, the Blackberry is the clear winner.
We would never even consider replacing it with the iPhone for business use. The blackberry BES is a fantastic thing to have. We've got probably 1000+ devices on it and it works (pretty much) flawlessly. I am personally on a Bold 9700 on Rogers 3G and I love it. I have been on Bell and Telus in the past and I must say that in my area Rogers provides fantastic converage. There are many simple hardware selling points that will keep us on blackberries, like tiered device levels - executives and IT people get bigger and better devices but people that don't need the latest and greatest get the cheaper devices. Also, the ability to chose if you want a device with an ACTUAL HARDWARE KEYBOARD. I don't care how great the iPhone softkeyboard is, I want to actually feel the keys.
Blackberry integration into Microsoft exchange is excellent, attachment handling is excellent and the newer BB OS5 browsing is pretty good too. This is truly the "business" device. Oh, and we can replace our batteries too... what the hell apple?
From a personal phone perspective I must say I do love BBM, it is a fantastic program for chat and sending pictures.
Oh and to the guy talking about the HTC Touch Pro 2... I had an HTC Touch Pro (the original) - Me and a buddy each got one at the same time and they were the absolutely shittiest devices we have ever owned. Horrible hardware quality, slow and unstable OS... even when we flashed over to 3rd party roms we were never happy with those stupid things. I hope the HTC Touch Pro 2 is a hell of a lot better.

Re: iPhone vs Blackberry
BB since the 8700!. First one was work supplied, and I have never looked back. I just wish they would make BB6.0 backwards compatible to more devices, hey, where 's that fellow from RIM??

Re: iPhone vs Blackberry
The difference here is that Iphone owners have used BB and prefer the iphone hands down. The BB owners have never owned an iphone, because if you did, you would never trade it in for a BB.

Re: iPhone vs Blackberry
The simple fact is that businesses will never get iphones at a reduced cost for their employees to use like they do with BB. This is why in this poll BB will win hands down.
Three of my cousins use BBs and why? Because they were given to them by their employer. They like it, they know how to use it and love the features it offers. I'll bet my left nut that the scenario would be the same if apple provided similar incentives but quite honestly, they don't have to go that route because the iphones sell so well internationally.
