How to get a spare key?

How to get a spare key?
I phoned my local Audi dealership who said a key would cost $150 to get (blade is an extra $70!) and to program it would probably be another $55. The guy said I can't buy a used one off ebay to reprogram. I bought mine used btw.
Any ideas?
Seems so expensive.
Thanks

Re: How to get a spare key?
The important part of the key is the 'chip' that the immobilizer reads information from. Most keys on eBay are knockoffs and won't work to start your car. I've heard even used authentic ones can't be used on a second car.
I think the cheapest key is the plastic one, for about $130 all in.

Must provide VIN#, Drivers License, and Registration when ordering. Coding for immobilizer must be done at a VW/Audi dealership.
