Ever get tiny orange rust dots in your paint? Paging eshine!
It's little metal filings that come from your brakes and embed themselves in your paint/clear coat and then sit there and rust. They're pretty small but you can definitely see them.
Apparently there's a product that can help eliminate these little fkers . It's called IronCut by Aquartz
Hopefully eshine.ca will carry it soon and will chime in. Looks like the stuff works incredibly well as a hardcore wheel cleaner as well.
When it comes into contact with offending particles, it turns purple.
Here's a little rusty iron dot embedded in the cleacoat
Here's what happens when you spray it with iron cut (it dissolves in a red/purple mess)
Here's what it looks like after wiping it off
Here's an example where some guys wondered if it could clean the tough **** on the wheels of a BMW B7 Alpina. They never touched the wheels. Just a normal wash, then applied IronCut...then power washed off. Pretty crazy.

claybar doesn't get rid of all of it. I think the white 1 series in the pics was claybarred BEFORE applying Aquartz Iron Cut.
p.s. where is eshine? Thought they'd chime in.

A friend of mine bought this and used it on his white car and said it worked like magic. Only downside he says is it smells pretty nasty, but recommends it for sure

Well if anyone actually goes out and buys this, I'd like to see pics of using this stuff both pre- and post- claybarring with regular wash.
Also, I understand how claybarring works...it physically picks up the contaminants on the paint. How does ironxcut work? I highly doubt it dissolves the iron....my guess is that this is a soapy/emulsifying solution mixed with some iodine to create the nice purple visuals to make you feel like you're doing more than you actually are.
Just thoughts from a skeptic, I'd be happy to be proven wrong...

Chemically speaking it wouldn't do a whole lot to fresh metal just embedded. Clay barring would take care of that. I think this product is more geared towards removing stuff that has been there a while and already rusted.
Like the little dot of rust prior to application as shown in one of the pics up there.
Dissolving oxidized metal is rather easy. You can go both ways with the marketing with the purple reactant to either 1. make you feel like you are doing more than you actually are 2. Actually doing something.
Once I get my hands on some I can take it to the lab (my kitchen) and do some tests.

Just saw this post now! We have been carrying IronX for a long time now. It does work VERY well and we use it in our shop everyday.

Which one exactly is the product that was shown in the pics above? (your link leads to about 10 products).
