CVT Class Action Lawsuit - Canada?
Greetings,
As Audi has now settled a class action lawsuit in the US over 'alleged' defects in the CVT transmissions in cars sold in the US from 2002-2006, A4 and A6 models, does anyone know how Audi is dealing with this in Canada?
I have a 2003 A4 Cabriolet with CVT transmission problems. I have called Audi Canada, they want me to take it to the dealer for diagnosis before they will tell me anything, in the meantime the dealer is going to charge me ~$120 an hour to diagnose, and they say it will take ~2 hours, not to mention my time. If they won't cover it I would rather take it elsewhere.
The dealer tells me they have had no instructions from Audi Canada on this issue.
Website on the class action can be found on Google ...'CVT class action'
Thanks in advance,
Ian
