Code P0411
Hello there,
This is my first post and first week driving an Audi so please bare with me if I am not completely up to terms.
I just bought a 2001 Audi TT Quattro on Saturday, the 1st of November and on Monday night I got the check engine light (steady, not flashing thankfully). This worried me, because I did buy it from a private seller.
I'm in a smaller town a couple hours west of Edmonton so there is definitely no Audi dealers or Audi service garages until Edmonton. -It's the only TT in town, and one of probably 2 or 3 other Audis.- So I did bring it in to a local garage to hook the computer up to it to see what the problem may be. They gave me this code -P0411-. I have searched already and see many other have had the same issue. But after I drove it out of the garage, the engine light has turned off. So does that mean the issue has straightened itself out? Or it is going to come on again within a couple more cold starts? I also read some where else that if you start driving it hard when it is still cold it may trip the sensor. Which might be possible, but I always try not to really 'giver' unless she is warm.

Hi Rob,
I had the same problem (i still do) for past 2 yeras with my A4. I've been to mechanics 5-6 times but they could'nt fix it. It would go away for 1-2 weeks and then come back. Now i've been driving it for over a year like that and didnt notice any problems with performance nor anything else.
